When used with UHPLC instruments, all Hibar® HR Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped UHPLC columns from Merck accelerate applications by up to 10 times – and maintain excellent peak shape. Users will also see an up to 84.5% drop in solvent consumption. Not only are these columns incredibly efficient, they perform so well that one column type is enough for most applications.

High resolution keeps methods flexible

During ultra-fast applications, using e.g. 5µm particle sizes can actually result in lower resolution of critical peaks. To offset this, Merck offers column material that accommodates 2µm and 3µm particulate silica. As the sorbent is highly pure, applications will consistently give optimum peak symmetry.

Outstanding pH and pressure stability – for an even wider range of applications

Hibar® HR Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped 2µm UHPLC columns remain stable at pressures up to 600 bar and can be used with alkaline eluents up to pH 10.
